THE VILLAGE of St Stephen-in-Brannel is a quiet, friendly community with two mini-markets, post office with ATM, first class modern Health Centre (3 doctors), social club, sports ground, launderette, service garage, good school and local bus service – Truro 10 miles, St Austell 5 miles, Newquay 5 miles. It has easy access to the road and rail network, plus air links from Newquay Airport.

LOCAL HARBOUR is Charlestown, with its tall ships, background to several films and TV series. To one side of the harbour is a quiet shingle beach and there are two excellent pubs. Principal is the Rashleigh Arms which has a large carpark and offers a wide variety of menus at reasonable prices. The beaches at Pentewan, Par and Mevagissey are a little further (15 to 20 minutes’ drive). Inland, just 4 miles, is the Eden Project, with its bio-domes. A little further you are on to Bodmin Moor, with its historic and interesting villages and the famous Jamaica Inn - just one of dozens of places offering good beer and pub grub. More exotic menus are on offer at Rick Stein's restaurants in Padstow, on the north coast. The attractive estuary town of Fowey, with its Daphne du Maurier associations is also nearby. From there you can take the ferry across to Polruan. There are huge carboot fairs during the summer months. The whole of the rest of Cornwall is within easy reach.

THE BUNGALOW is soundly built with no rot, damp or woodworm. It has double glazing throughout, full insulation and has Economy 10 heating. The Council Tax Band is B which makes it a cosy home with low out-goings. The kitchen has fitted double oven/microwave, with separate ceramic/halogen hob. Washing machine is also by Siemens and there is a good-size fridge/freezer. Wall and floor cupboards are all oak-faced. The adjoining conservatory can be used for meals.
