Completed in Dec 2010 Briar Steading is a luxury new build holiday cottage finished in local stone sleeping 2- 4, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms en-suite, WiFi, Sky Tv and the most stunning views over Loch Earn to a 13th century castle (privately owned) An ideal floor layout for 2 couples sharing or a family of 4 with one bedroom on the east gable and the other on the west separated by the open plan living area to enable privacy. Little Briar is our pet friendly 2 bedroom cottage with 1 bathroom. 2 people can bring 2 dogs and 4 people can bring 1 dog. You won't believe the views. An ever changing picture throughout the seasons, with, sun, stars, moon light and even deer in the garden. You dont have to watch Springwatch or Autumn watch to be close to nature. Its all here. Deer, red squirrels, otters, ospreys, kite's bees, bats, butterflies, eagles and more. The mallards are here all year round however witnessing the hatching of their ducklings is well worth the visit in spring.
The luxury cottage is very spacious with a fully fitted kitchen in the open plan living area. A dishwasher, washer dryer and full fridge freezer are integrated. Enjoy views over Loch Earn and Edinample Castle from the glass lounge patio doors and the doors from the bedrooms. Little Briar has a compact kitchen area.
Stunning views from the top of the garden, spacious landscaped ornamental grounds with garden furniture and barbecues. Both cottages have parking for 2 cars plus a boat trailer and more parking if anyone has a day visitor.

Briar Steading shares the large private gardens with Little Briar Holiday cottage and the owners 17th century, B listed, thatched cottage. The holiday cotttages are 60 metres apart and sit on different levels to enable space and privacy. The whole site was once lived in and crofted by clans Macgregor, the titled Earls of Breadalbane's (descended from Campbells) tenants and 200 year of MacLarens. Now owned by Kim and Fraser Proven, guests have access to their 250ft loch side garden with a summer house, leisure swing, jetty, slipway, picnic tables and mooring buoys. Guests may fish free of charge in season (March 15th to October 6th) for brown and rainbow trout and salmon.
Lochearnhead is famous for fishing, watersports, history and folklore, outdoor sports activities, wildlife and friendly hospitality. There are 2 pub/hotels within a 200 metre stroll plus the water sports centre cafe opens in March, serving snacks, kiddies meals and home baking. The local shop and post office are less than a mile away.
Lochearnhead is very central within Scotland enabling easy day trips to tourist attractions in the directions of Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, St Andrews and Oban.
