The old town, the Vieille Ville (20 min walk or 5 min bus ride from apartment), which dates back to the fifth century BC is a labyrinth of charming streets lined with shops, street cafes and restaurants within the town’s historic ramparts. With local weekly markets and countless artisans’ workshops situated in and around the town, Antibes offers shoppers a variety of unique goods. Renoir’s home and the Picasso Museum, which contains the artist’s locally inspired works. The town is also the gateway to the gorgeous Cap d’Antibes, with its stunning panoramic views of secluded sandy beaches of the Mediterranean, characteristic of Antibes and the surrounding areas. In the summer, Juan les Pins has a bustling night life and holds each year, an internationally famous Jazz festival.
