Berlin holiday apartment, perfect location

Ideally located, this first floor, one-bedroom flat is in a well looked after turn of the century house in the centre of Berlin. It has stripped wooden floors throughout, high ceilings and period features that altogether offer a comfortable, romantic stay in a typical traditional Berlin apartment. The apartment is very light and airy and furnished with a mix of contemporary styles and antique pieces.

The queen-sized bed in the bedroom is very comfortable and the room is light and quiet. The modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped with all pans and pots, plates, and cups and glasses you could need. There is also a new washing machine. The apartment also has an efficient central heating system. The new tiled bathroom has a bath tub and a shower.

The spacious lounge has a large comfortable sofabed, dining area for four, cable TV and DVD player with numerous films on DVD. From the living room there are also double doors that lead on to the balcony, planted with herbs and flowers.

Location is paramount when considering a holiday rental: our flat is in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood, but with incredibly quick and easy access to all the major sights, shopping, restaurants, bars, nightlife and all three Berlin airports.

The neighbourhood around the flat is very friendly with some lovely, good value, family-run restaurants and cafes. Bergmannstrasse with its independent shops, great bars and cafes is within walking distance as is the well-known Winterfeldtplatz with its fantastic weekend market. Round the corner from here is Nollendorfplatz with its nightlife and boutique shops. And Potsdamer Platz is only 5 minutes away!

With the S-Bahn (suburban train system) from Yorckstrasse station, which is just 200 metres away, it is 4 minutes to Potsdamer Platz (shopping, sights, theatre) and a 10 minute journey to Oranienburger Strasse in Berlin Mitte (sights, bars, nightlife). The U-Bahn station (underground) at Yorckstrasse is also only 200 metres away. From here it is very simple to get to the centre of Berlin-West and on the same line directly to Rudow for a direct bus link to Schoenefeld Airport (SXF) and to Jakob Kaiser Platz for the bus directly to Tegel Airport (TXL).
